  1. 30 hours. (1 ECTS): 0.4 ECTS (12 hours): participation in the Conference
    0.6 ECTS (18 hours): preparation of a scientific report on the Conference
  2. or 12 hours. (0.4 ECTS): participation in the Conference

Welcome to the 9th Academic Conference ’Issues of Political Psychology and Its Role in Becoming a Citizen’!


Academic Conference «Issues of Political Psychology and Its Role in Becoming a Citizen» has been held every two years since the early 2000s.

During the Conference, leading scholars and practitioners in political psychology and related disciplines jointly with foreign colleagues discuss the results of current researches in the field of political psychology and the directions of their application in government and public practices.

Among the issues that are constantly in the focus of such discussions are:

  • psychology of war and peace,
  • political and psychological issues of youth socialization,
  • psychological factors of dominated-submissive relations,
  • construction of civil society,
  • psychological safety in emergency situations,
  • intergroup relations,
  • social and political conflicts,
  • psychological support of election campaigns and others.

Proceedings of the Conference are published in academic journal «Problems of Political Psychology».

The conference is held in Kyiv on the basis of the Institute for Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.
